Sw2004SP1 drawing bug

I've been attempting some small projects in sw2004 to see if it is usable
yet.
sw2004sp1, win2000sp4, quadro980xgl

I have an assembly consisting of a routine part model, and another part file
that consists of a sketch made over an image. I used an assembly file so
that
I could orient and scale the "sketch" part file relative to the model.

When I make a fresh drawing (File -> Make new dwg from assembly) of this
assembly in sw2004, none of the sketch entities
are visible in the drawing view. If I insert model items (curves) the
sketch appears for
a fraction of a second, and then vanishes.
If I do the same process with a drawing template made in sw2003, the sketch
is immediately visible, without
the insert model items process.

Another issue, though, with the drawing made with the 2003 template, is that
a few entities disappear when
zoomed out to see the whole 8.5x11 sheet, and the missing entities are also
missing on a printout. If I zoom
in closer on the view, the entities reappear on both the display and
printout.

I'm using the nvidia driver 5216 now, but had the same behavior with 4104.

I made similar model/asm/drw files in sw2003 and everything worked OK.

anyone else seen bugs? like this.

In 2004, the sketches disappearing might not be a bug. Do you have
sketches turned off in the View menu? I've been able to see sketches
fine in my 04 drawings. Also, sketch visibility in drawings can be
controlled on a per view basis

Yes, sketches are on in the view menu.

I think part of the problem occurred when I made a 2004 template using sheet
formats that had been created
in older versions and were on a deafault network location.
I just made a drawing template file using sheet formats
installed locally by sw2004 and it works better now.

I still have a problem with some of the sketch entities disappearing when
the whole page is displayed, but now
the missing entities print. The sketch entities are all splines, so maybe
they aren't displayed too well.

It could also happen if large assembly mode is on in your drawing, which
is a new template setting for drawings in 04. In that case, the sketch
setting might still be turned on, but would show in grey. That might
explain it.
