SW Grouping (not groupies...)

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by Wayne Tiffany, Sep 1, 2006.

  1. Sometimes a quick reminder is good to hear.

When in a drawing, you can group annotations so that they move together. An
example would be a balloon or stack of balloons and a note that says to
apply Loctite, or something. And with SW2006 SP5.0, a bug was fixed in that
if you grab the master of a stack and drag it, the rest of the group now
goes along. This is good. But wait, there's more...if you decide you want
to shift one of the items in the group, you don't have to remove it, move
it, and add it back to the group, you can simply hold the Alt key while
moving it and it remains part of the group.
