Survey 2005 Registration problem.

I'm installing LDT2005, Civil Design 2005, and Survey 2005, all from standalone network installation deployments. Upon starting them at the workstations after installation, LDT and CD authorize over the network fine, but Survey now gives the following error, (after the first 3 or 4 went correct), saying the product has already been registered and will not authorize:

Error message is exactly as follows:

    Software Information

    Product: Autodesk Survey 2005

    Serial number: 340-xxxxxxxx

    Request code: XXXXXX - etc.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Registration Error (9)

This Serial Number that you entered is already registered.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As LDT, CD and SV all are single master SNs for 28 seat subscriptions, there appears to be an error someplace. Autodesk says I can enter the codes manually, but for my remaining 22-23 seats, that is plain crazy, since I'd also have to send the request code for each one!!

'Anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Is the error with my deployment image, (it worked in the beginning with no changes), or is it an error at Autodesk's end? They confirmed our license availability, but I can't tell if the problem is connectivity within the Survey module or at Autodesk's registration server. I spent over a half hour on the phone with Autodesk and they can't figure it out...

Thanks for any ideas - John

I don't know about CD and Survey, but for the standalone license of LDT -- like all standalone licenses -- an individual request code is generated on each PC, and an individual auth code must be entered on each one. That's why the online web authorization was put in place, to make this easier. If you have a network anyway (since you're deploying that way), perhaps the network license would be a more convenient option?

For Survey, can you use the separate web URL to authorize? It's http://register.autodesk.com .

Autodesk Support got back to me and stated they reset our registration info
in their back-end database and that appears to have resolved the problem -
the web authorization is working again.

We have 28 standalone licenses for full time users and another 10 network
licenses. Since Autodesk raised the price for network versions we didn't
feel like dropping a few thousand dollars more just for the "convenience" of
having 28 full time users have a single authorization...

Sounds like a fair trade, then: $$$ for convenience. Glad the problem was
    resolved.

We ARE using the Network Installation Wizard for installing the
stand-alones, so some of the convenience is there. I'm rolling out the
network version deployment today - wish me luck... If I run into problems
    I'll probably be back. <g>
