surface area note weird

    When I add a custom property note to a drawing to show the surface
    area, SW adds:
    ______________

    xxx.x ^2 inches

    center
    ______________

    instead of the xxx.x value I am looking for. This is in SW2006 SP 3.4 .
    Is there a fix for this?
