    Hi,

    I've got a client on SW2004 SP3.0
Periodically, perfectly fine assemblies will open with the error
"Can't find part - suppressing" dialog box.

What is strange is the user has just to selected the suppressed part
and "resolve" it. The part unsupresses no problem.

This has caused a fair number of engineers to get a little hot under
the collar as the suppression effects the BOM's.

I seem to recall a bug in earlier versions of 2004 but though it had
    been fixed.

Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?

  2. This could happen if they are not careful with their file locations. If a
whole folder had gotten moved carelessly or something. SW only searches the
last used location after searching a few other locations they have been
listed on the group a few times even in the last 2 months. If SW finds a
file with the same name in one of these locations it will use that file. If
the assembly is saved SW will then make that the last used position and not
even reference the origional file. When the dialogue comes up is the
location of the "Missing" part exactly where they find it. I haven't
noticed any such behavior in 2004 SP3.0. Hope you are able to figure out
    what is happening.
