    R2004 Autolisp:
Whenever I run one of my scripts to plot labels, I see a PLOT.LOG file in the same directory as the label files.
What do I do to turn this off?

    TIA

I found where the check box is in my plot dialog box.
    But it's greyed out!

    Bill,
I don't know whether this will answer your question. I think
AutoCAD/ADT installation on XP is flawed in process. If
one installs AutoCAD in the same account as they are using
it, then the files are not set up correctly. If I had to do it
again, I would create a non-functional administrator account.

The plotstamp file that is current on your system is marked
read-only. To change that, search for *.pss on your system
    and uncheck the read-only option.

There is a plotstamp command and a -plotstamp command.
The -plotstamp command is a bit more informative.

Personally, I love the plot.log files.

Do a search on your computer for inches.pss (assuming you're using imperial
    units).

Our fine friends at adesk have decided for us that now we need at least
three copies of this file, instead of one as before. Uncheck the read-only
attribute for ALL of them. Then you can uncheck the box in the plot dialog.

    Thanks Doug & Tom.
One more thing. When I test plotting for an R14 drawing, the plot style tables are *.ctb and when I open a sample R2004 drawing they are *.stb.
Really hosing me up on these tests.
Will these all be *.stb when I conver the old drawings over?

    Thanks

Suggest you leave your R14 drawings with CTB plot styles even
after converting the old drawings. (There is no need that I am
aware of for converting the drawings to 2004 other than the
    advantage of seeing the thumbnails).

    Thanks Doug,
The problem I am having, when I run label plots from autolisp,
I use the "Yes" for plot styles and " monochrome.ctb" so there is no color emulation to shades of grey with the B&W printers.
But the program crashes when it opens a R2004 drawing that requires a "monochrome.stb" in the command line.
Any way I can check for which it needs?
    TIA

    Ah, nevermind,
You don't need to specify the extension when you call for the style file.
