StickWorks, is it alive?

Hello all.

I did little search with google on the group and found interesting
backround and events conserning the stickworks. but I'm still unclear is
there anyone selling it? if not, is there a way to get it for free
somewhere?

My interest to the program is not professional, I personally use the
3DConnexion Space pilot, but tought that it would be interesting to test
the joystic with SW...

I did contact with trimech, who has the Stickworks mentioned on their
website, but they are not currently selling / handling it.

(BTW. with google you can find Stickworks, but thats not it, theres an
addin for SW with the same name)

....it seems that theres no hope getting the real one anywhere.... shame,
it would have been nice little thing to play with...
