stb plot styles problem

I'm using named plot styles (*.stb) in Acad2005 and encountering some
troublesome issues. I have a certain plot style assigned to my dimension
layer; color blue, lineweight lighter than objects, whatever, etc.

Problem 1: If I dimension using closed arrows (not filled), the arrows
insist on plotting by object color while the rest of the dimension,
(extensions lines, dim line, and text), plots correctly as defined by the
plot style. But if I use closed filled arrows, they plot correctly
according to the plot style. Strange.

Problem 2: When I insert a block with attributes on the dimension layer, it
plots with the wrong plot style, not the one assigned to the dimension
layer. When I check the properties of the block, plot style is set to by
    layer. Strange.

Problem 3: My title block is an xref on layer "title" which uses the same
plot style as the dimension layer. The xref has two nested blocks, one with
attributes for the title block info, the other a company logo (not raster).
The title block and the attributes plot correctly with the style assigned to
the layer but the logo plots by object color.

  2. How can they "plot by color" if you are using STB?
Check the elements IN the block. (Exploded)
Check the elements IN the logo. (Exploded)

How can they "plot by color" if you are using STB?
That was exactly my question. (Although you can have a plot style to plot
by color, but I don't). Why just those arrow heads???
I will check that but that is the case, but how would I resolve the issue?
Re-define the block on the dimension layer?

  4. My point here is that it can't be because there is no CTB to follow.
It may br plotting 'wrong', but not by color.
I don't know. Check it and see if a light comes on in your head, or post
    back.

Michael, what can't be and what is are two different animals in this case.
The color of the plotted, closed, unfilled arrow heads is the same as the
layer color on which they reside. The rest of the dimension plots according
to the plot style. Any other arrow head plots by the style. Try it and
post your results. And you can define a plot style in an stb to use object
    color.

As far as the other block not plotting correctly, I haven't been able to
solve that mystery because it's working correctly on this pc. I did however
stumble across something interesting. When copying and pasting a block that
was created on layer 0 from another drawing, it is inserted on layer 0, as
expected. The same goes for inserting it using the tool palettes. But if
you use design center to drag and drop the block from another drawing, it is
inserted on the current layer in the destination drawing, not on layer 0.
