Staff and Senior Industrial Designers Positions Available

Techtronic Industries Inc. (TTi) develops power tool and lawn & garden
products under the brands of Ryobi, Ridgid, Craftsman, and Homelite.

TTi is searching for passionate and creative hands-on Industrial
Designers to join our award winning product development team; Concept
Center International (CCi) with studios in Hong Kong, Europe and South
Carolina. Designers must possess strong communication, organizational,
and presentation skills. A creative problem solver with the ability to
efficiently interact with a diverse staff is key.


In this position, the Industrial Designers will review, research, and
evaluate the product landscape translating these findings into new
product offerings. The designer will interact with a talented team of:
marketers, researchers, brand managers, engineers, photographers,
model makers, and industrial designers and maintain the following
qualities:

* Passionately motivated with a high level of responsibility and
professionalism.
* Ability to identify product opportunities through ethnographic
research to insure true user needs are met.
* Demonstrate a high level of creativity with equally strong
mechanical aptitude.
* Applied aesthetic sensitivity to form and detail.
* A great sense of form and proportion.
* Strong conceptual/sketching skills.
* A current knowledge of marketplace trends
* Exceptional communication skills: writing, presenting, storytelling.
* Strong leadership qualities to inspire team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
* Detail oriented.
* Human factor & Ergonomic related knowledge.
* Define product finishes including colors, materials, textures,
processes.
* Understanding and demonstrated implementation of design language.

Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years 3D modeling proficiency in SolidWorks required.
3 to 9 years of practical experience in either Consumer and/or
Commercial product design.

* Personal interest in woodworking, lawn & garden and construction
related equipment a plus.
In addition, CCi is searching for a talented CNC programmer/model
maker utilizing Master CAM x2 to join our growing model lab team.

3D modeling proficiency in SolidWorks

 

where is the position in Europe located ?

i started using 3D modelling tools in 1989 and have been
a heavy user since. i have Solidworks & Pro-E at home,
and also have several years experience with OneSpace.

We have a teams in the UK and Germany, but this posting is more for
