Spooling drawings 2 times. One plots one fails

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Shane MacIntyre, Oct 5, 2005.

  1. I have Autocad 2005 and I plot to an HP Designjet 500. My operating system
is XP Pro SP2. When I send a plot from autocad, it shows the print progress
dialog two time and then It shows up in the Designjet Dialog two time, one
plot shows up with a file size and the other plot is identical except for
not having a file size. The one with a file size plots fine. The other
without a file size brings up a "Document did not print" error.
    Any ideas?

  2. Hi Shane

We have a very similar environment - Volo View 3 Plot Module, DesignJet
500 42", XP SP2 (client) and W2K3 (print server for the HP), and have
also seen a certain amount of "double jobs" and general wierdness, but
there wasn't much of a pattern to it. I've since updated the firmware
on the DesignJet and got hold of the latest driver, and things seem
    much smoother now.

Not a EUREKA moment, but it's a good first step if you haven't already.
