It downloaded OK as a .mov file (normally playable on quicktime) but
quicktime said it needed additional codec and only played sound.

    Any suggestions ??

Also if this is no. 2 where / what is no. 1
    thanks

I liked the PodCast, good job. What kind of performance did you see
with a more complex point cloud and the fill? I would be scared that
if you had a few hundred points it would take forever.

I had some trouble getting the file. When clicking the links it would
take forever to download because it is a large file. This resulted in
the webpage basically being hung. I had to RMB -> save as to get the
file properly. I would suggest using a streaming format instead of the
full download format. Or offer both even!

The time to get the file was also quite slow because only got about
    40kb/second.

Do you do your voiceovers real time or afterwards? You may find that
doing post-recording voice overs sound better because you aren't doing
    multiple things at once.

Congratulations on the new site. I'm sure you will help a lot of
    people.

PS - I have my own webspace if you need some hosting space for the
large files. I can probably spare about a gigabyte and the download
speeds are very good. 200-300kb/sec usually. As long as it isn't
downloaded a bazillion times it should easily fit into my bandwidth
    limitations.

Ya if you use alot of points you get really poor performance but
somtimes you just have to suck it up and take the hit for the whizzy factor!
This is the reason it is a podcast on the right hand side of the window
there are some XML links that will work on a podcast aggregator to get
the episodes automatically. I don't want to get into the "what exactly
is a podcast and how do I get things automated?" question so what I
would suggest is to get iTunes and see this link
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/
I am in the iTunes directory under SolidWorks to make things easier, as
well the cast will play directly in iTunes.
If you use another aggregator then look up in google the name of the
aggregator and "how to receive a podcast tutorial"
True on the voice overs, I do them live and mostly to save some time,
maybe I will in the future but for now that format works. Thanks for the
    advice though.
I hope so and I also would like some help from those better than me, I
may be good but there is many many better than me that could make this a
    better cast.
Because I am giveing this stuff out for free ourmedia.org will host it
for free as well so I am ok for now on that but again thanks for the
offer I will definately keep you in mind
