    hey guys
i was wondering if someone has a link to download the evaluation
version of SW 2005. A friend of mine wants to try it before he can buy
    it.

Have him ask the legal vendor that he's thinking of "buying"
from ....... how hard can that be?
Or was it the "legal" bit?

Are you aware that SolidWorks has a 150 day evaluation version that
comes free in some textbooks ? I don't know if this version of
SolidWorks has any limits imposed on it or not. I just saw it this
morning at Mesa Community Collage (Arizona).

Someone posted here that Mesa Community Collage has classes in
SolidWorks, Pro/E, etc. I could find no evidence of that. The CD was
enclosed in a book on a drafting class. The book was around $100.

    Pro/E has something similar see:

    Hope this helps,

    www.solidworks.com

You can get a free evaluation version there.

The educational version is also only $99.

This guy should get his own computer. Then he could beg for free
    demos.
    Or from the legal dealer/VAR?
Don't you know anything about SolidWorks? Read this NG?
It adds "Student Version" or something similar to it's
    output.
    Any free demos there?
Your spelling checker probably goofed up again.
You are probably confused again too.

Tried their GibbsCAM classes? Several years ago you
    claimed ....
    The CD got your attention?
Still in the book I trust .... in the bookstore .....
Pretty good SW demo is it?
378 pages but I see no mention of ...... and that's not by PTC
    anyway, is it?
Oops .... I should have guessed.

Hey, Dan .... tell clueless jb to stop copying his crazed ads from
one NG to another. Over & over again in multiple posts (you probably
miss some of them, right? <G>)

I'm pretty new here on ccs, but perhaps you could audit a class at a
local community college and steal the SW CD from one of the other
    [student's] textbooks?
