Hi all, My question is, how can I "explode" a solid to 3D faces (not 3Dmesh)? With command explode I can get only regions but I need 3D faces. Sorry for my poor English. Yes, ACAD 2000. Use the AutoCAD command STLOUT to export your solid to a ASCII (non-binary!) STL-file. Download the free STLIN.LSP from http://www.archdim.de/STLIN.LSP, load it to AutoCAD, and use the new command STLIN to import the STL file to a set of 3Dfaces. Tom Berger
3dsout and 3dsin should do the job too (look for the options in 3dsout and 3dsin). You will get triangulated 3d-faces. Regards Jochen www.black-cad.de command explode I can get only regions but I need 3D
