when printing to dj755cm with HP windows driver ver 6.5 on a novell network,
i am getting a band of solid ink hiding that portion of the plot/print. This
happens out of AutoCAD r2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005 and all other apps that
i've used to print such as adobe acrobat reader and DWF Composer. This band
seems to have a random width although consistent if I plot the same page.
Varies in width from 1/2" to over 4". Does not happen every time. Am
selecting to do all processing in local computer. Any ideas?

  2. Run a test print from within the printer.
If this one also has that band, call for service.
    Maybe an hardware defect.

We had that happening here. Turned out to be the network card in the plotter was incompatible with our setup.

    Good luck.

It seems to be network related after not happening on internal plots.
However, as far as I know there is only 1 jetdirect card available for this
plotter. Did you resolve the issue with the network card? If so how? We
have the standard HP Jetdirect 400N j4100A w/ latest firmware flashed onto
    it...

plotter was incompatible with our setup.

This part of 'We' didn't solve it. :)
We had a technician that came in and resolved it. He got a new network card and installed it and it still didn't work. Then the next day he came in with another one and got it going. Been fine since then. I'm sorry but I don't know the details. We have a new HP 1050 cplus, running Windows 2k server.

Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.
