Sluggish performance when getting close to 2GB w/3GB sw

    Does anyone know why PCs running XPPro
    with 3 GB RAM and the 3 gig switch have
    sluggish performance when approaching 2GB?

    It's great when you have the memory and the switch
    but the only thing it seems to buy you is keeping Pro
    from crashing (windows killing it at the 2GB level)

    You really don't seem to gain any performance
    from adding the switch.

    Any ideas as to why this is?
    Can anything be done to improve performance at this high mem level?

    Sorry for all the posts today, I thought I'd be more likely
    to get an answer for each of my questions if I posted them
    separately.
