Slow population of 'open' window

    On a workstation with XP Pro and 500+ mb RAM the further into a networked folder you go the slower it takes to populate. Scrolling in these files is also problematic causing the programme to 'not respond' for a short time. The server is Windows Small Business Server 2000 and the problem has infected other programmes on the XP machine but is remedied when AutoCAD LT 2004 is removed. The problem never arose with AutoCAD LT 2000 and machines with Architectural Desktop 2004 are not experiencing this even with lesser specification.

    Any help will be much appreciated.
