May be a dumb question, but is there any way to 'reverse' the action of slidelib.exe .. i.e. pull out the .sld's and create the original .sld files ?

  2. I use a very old utility:

    SlideManager by Jhon Intorcio (1990)

maybe you can find in Internet or e-mail me.

I've always used the AutoCAD Slide Library Manager from Cyrille Fauvel.
It can extract the individual SLDs from an SLB.
I'll post it in the CF group.

    Hmm.
I tried a couple of different calls (dos shell) to crank it up, but
it just flicks up for 1/2 sec. then goes away.
For slidelib.exe a typical call is:
    slidelib myslides.slb <myslides.lst
What would be a sample for sldmgr.exe ?

    Marc'Antonio,
Thanks for the E-Mail. Works OK. I had to install on an old DOS machine to get it to run. You can generate a list of the slide names, then 'batch' extract them. A bit of a pain, but it does work.

    Cheers :)

I have the .doc file now. To list slides:
    sldmgr L myslides<enter>
    To extract a slide:
    sldmgr E myslides slidename
would create slidename.sld in current folder.
You need a DOS OS to run it, won't go in Windows Shell.

You'll probably have to register the SLIDE.OCX file using RegSvr32.exe
That should take care of it.
