simulate tooltips for line length

    I need to draw a line and when drag cursor for 'second point' input ,
    I wish display length of line (in real-time) near cursor (like yellow
    tooltip in polar mode).

    I have used grread,grdraw and one little text entity to display in
    real-time line length.
    The problem is that grread function does not recognize ortho, snap e
    osnap modes... the crosshair is completely free.

    someone have one (good) idea ?
