siminfo error while creating netlist

Discussion in 'Cadence' started by Karthik Sundararaman, Aug 4, 2003.

  1. We had recently upgraded cadence design kit and I tried to do a layout of
an inverter. I got no errors while extracting the layout but while
creating the netlist I got the following error. Does the error imply that
there is a problem with the NCSU kit provided to us or is it that I am
going wrong somewhere else. Could someone clarify this.

    Karthik:
Do a tools->CDF->Edit and browse to the nmos4 in NCSU_Analog_Parts.
Does it have a simInfo section for the simulator that you are
    currently using?

  3. There does not seem to be any simInfo section for the simulator I am
using. So do i need to contact the people who provided me with the library
to give me the necessary details with regards to this or will I be able to
do the necessary changes on my own.
    Thanks for the help.

    Karthik:
I would have the library provider add the simulator simInfo and
simulator views. What simulator are you using? Do the model files
for that simulator exist in your library?

I am using spectreS as my simulator. And I do have the model files for
SpectreS. I will find out from the library provider for the simInfo
    views.
    Thanks for the help
