    Hi All,

With a new techno i want to use, i need to place filler cells without
any IO (in order to add well contact) with a certain density (1 /
1000um2 for example). I do not know how to do it automatically. I would
appreciate if someone knows how or already writes an awk/tcl/perl script
    in order to it.

    TIA.
    Jerome.

Why don't you add your spares first and then fill the rest of the
design with your filler cells? That's much easier and SE already knows
how to do it. Actually I think you want to fill all the empty spaces
    with filler anyway.

    Hi,

I already thought about this but the cells i want to add have no IOs so
they cannot be managed as spare cells.
These cells are cells with contact to NWELL and PWELL.

I didn't mean that you should treat them as spares. I suggested that
you add your regular spares first and then use the SE command to fill
all the remaining area outside of your functional logic + spares with
the filler cells. That way you don't have to do anything special for
your fillers. Place your spares first and then add fillers.
