Does anyone know how to show sketches in a detailed view of a drawing?

  2. RMB the sketch in the Design tree and select show should work.

Does not work on detail views here... never has. I need to show sketches
in views very often. I am tired of not being able to do this in detail
views and am hoping I am just overlooking something (a setting or
    something). Any other suggestions?

It used to not work in section views either. But since SW2004, it now does.
But it still doesn't in detail views.

  4. It seems to work here just fine. Are you selecting the sketch in the tree
for the correct view, because it is view specific.....Oh it seems the
View>Sketches needs to be on also this may be turned off in your templates
    and not in mine.

I am selecting the correct view in the feature tree. And yes my
View>Sketches is on. When I RMB click on the sketch to show it, the sketch
will temporarily highlight in the detail view. But soon as I click show, it
will disappear. I try ctrl-Q and still nothing.

Can I send you a model and a drawing direct and see if it works on your
system? I am a loner here. I assume I take out the "eroneous" information
    to do so.

I am wondering if it may be a template problem. The templates I am using
were originally created in at least SW2001 and maybe as far back as SW99.
They have been converted each release, but maybe something didn't convert
correctly. Testing it on your system may help track down the problem here.

I was having the same type of issue with center marks using some very old
and many time upgraded templates. I chased it for a long time. I ended up
completely redoing all the templates and it fixed that any many other issues
I would find myself fixing everytime I used the templates. Sometimes you
just need to break down and clean out the crap, start off with a fresh new
    layout. hth

  8. Try showing the sketch in the parent view, convert entities in detail & hide
    sketch in parent view.

That's it. Corey beat you to the punch in a personal email though.

One thing though. You must show the sketch in the parent and rebuild before
it will actually show in the detail view.
