Setting up an unusual printer in .cdsplotinit

    Hello,

I'm trying to set up printing to a Nashuatec D422 printer from Cadence
DFWII applications (release 4.4.6). I have no idea what to set the
printer options to in the .cdsplotinit file. I have tried a couple of
    printers such as

    Hewlett-Packard Laserjet 4MV / postscript1
    Generic 600dpi Adobe Postscript Level 1 Plotter / postscript1

but these all print endless pages of (seemingly) random text to the
Nashuatec printer instead of a Composer schematic or whatever.
Printing to this printer works OK for a text file using the
command-line (using lp -d PRINTER_NAME). I've looked at the Cadence
help and also any files in the Cadence tree which I think may help me
(e.g. plotcap files in $CADENCE_HOME/tools/plot etc) but without
    success.

Can anybody give me any pointers as to how I can figure out the
appropriate options / settings to use in the .cdsplotinit file.

    Many Thanks,
    John Kelly.

    Hi John

Are you sure that is a postscript printer? If not you'll need to setup a
filter in your lp system to convert postscript to whatever the printer
    understands.
