selection sets...

    i think i am having a brain fart but anyway, when ever i select an object
    with bylayer my routine dumps...
    (assoc 62 (entget (car (entsel))))
    any other color will work. Is there another code for bylayer.

    The association list for an entity whose color is "bylayer" HAS NO code 62
    entry. It only gets one if a color OTHER than "bylayer" is assigned. Can
    you do what you want by testing for the presence of a 62 entry, rather than
    for the value associated with it?
