Selection-not

    R-14 and AutoCad LT...
    On selecting any item whatsoever they do not appear highlighted (Hidden or
    broken lines) they remain solid lines or objects?

    In tool>Drawing aids> Modes>the hightlight box is checked?

    It never has shown broken lines and has always been
    this way. I have reinstalled the programs without change. The grips do work
    and can be toggled on and off. TIA

    Can't speak for LT, but if it's not the HIGHLIGHT sysvar (as you have
    indicated) - then maybe it's a video card issue.

    Another (remote) possibility --> If all your lines have a dashed
    linetype in which the dashes are so small you cannot see them at a
    normal zoom level - then the highlighting will appear to not work.
