Searching a list

    Hi everybody,

    With the help of the members of this board I was able to generate a list of
    all the layer names in my drawing (list is stored under the variable
    lnlist). Now I was wondering how I go about searching the list for a
    specific layer name?

    Have a look in the help files, start with the (member) function.

    as Devin metioned, be careful w/ caase...
    (vl-position (strcase layername)(mapcar 'strcase lnlist))
