Zoom functionality from the scroll wheel suddenly stopped working after
I enabled the toolbox plugin in a fresh install of 2004 SP3.1 (WinXP
Pro) today. It was working properly before this. I have tried disabling
the add-in, restarting SolidWorks, rebooting the computer, different
part models, etc., all to no avail. It now will simply not use the
scroll wheel, though the scroll button works fine for rotating. The
wheel continues to work correctly in other applications.

I also tried resetting the mouse settings in Windows. In my experience,
it is best to set the scroll wheel to 'MS Office Compatiblity' in the
mouse settings from Windows XP Control panel, otherwise SolidWorks will
often pan instead of zoom when using the scroll wheel.

    Thanks for any help.

Found the fix. In addition to enabling 'Use MS Office Compatible Scroll
Only' in the mouse control panel, I also needed to enable 'Scroll in
Active Window Only'. I've never needed to do this before. I should have
also mentioned that my mouse properties dialog from the Control Panel
appears to be specific to logitech devices.

Along these lines...is there a way to reverse the direction of the zoom when
the wheel is actuated? SW zoom via the wheel is exactly opposite to all my
other programs...I'm always zooming the wrong way!
