Saving Color Properties in Configurations Question

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by Aron \(bacsdesign.com\), Jan 4, 2007.

  1. Hi,

    I feel dumb...<:-\

I have a Switch part I modeled that is the same mechanically but has
    different colored Pushbuttons.

I created the Pushbutton part in various configurations, i.e. Amber, Red,
Green, Blue, Clear...all the same, just colored differently.

Why is SW not saving the color of the Pushbuttons in the various
Configurations? I have saved after each change of coloring of the part....
and still it does not make the configuration the right color... it defaults
to the last one saved :-(

Again, they are all exactly the same except for there color... I simply want
to choose which Configuration (color) of the Pushbutton in the Switch
Assembly, and then be able to have various "models" (colors) of "Assembled"
Switches to choose from, for some front panels.

    Thanks,

    Aron

    SW 2006, SP5.0

  2. Sorry for the question, I found my own answer, DUUH...

I found it at the bottom of the "Color and Optics" property dialog... under
    what else "Configurations"...

I feel Dumberer... time to quit work... at least for the night!
