    Hi Folks,

I ran into a problem with upgrading beyond SP 2 in SW 2004. It appears
that it clobbers the ability for SW to save as a jpeg. After
installing anything above SP 2 SW loses the ability with the
following error upon trying to save as a jpeg.

The specified module could not be found. (1st dialog)
Could not load SolidWorks DLL: sldjpegu.dll (2nd dialog)
The Add-In selected is not a valid Solidworks Add-In (3rd dialog)

I have tracked down a copy of the dll (it appears its actually called
sldjpeg.dll) in question and dropped it into SW dir. Restarted, No
    luck.

However I do have a workstation running SW 2003 SP 3 and it can save
as jpeg. So it appears to be somewhat of a random thing. I have two
stations that I upgraded to SP 3 and then SP 4 and they lost the
    ability to save a jpeg.

All the machines are running the same XP image.

    Thoughts?

  3. Hello Guy-
Missing .dll files: did you forget to disable anti-virus software when
    downloading and upgrading?
SP4.1 seems to be an improvement for me.

    Thanks guys,

Thought I had it licked with the anti-virus suggestion when an upgrade on
one workstation went without a hitch (after disabling anti-v) all the way to
SP4.1 and Save As jpeg was fine. Tried it another machine (same machine type
and image) and no luck. Same result. Same errors. I am beginning to think it
specific too the company image on the machines and it's hit or miss. Right
now its about a 50-50 split on when it works after the upgrade. At least the
error message is always consistent. I will keep plugging away.
