Saving all files of an assembly

    Hello All,

I may have asked this before, but I forget (I'm not too bright).
I will most often have, in the folder where my assembly and part files are
located, many other files and assemblies that I've created along the way
that are no longer used in the assembly.
So what I do is load the final assembly into SolidWorks Explorer, and do an
Edit>Copy to a new folder along with all the parts, so that I can put them
on a CD and send them to my client and being sure that there are no "extra"
part or assembly files along for the ride.

Sooo, I guess what I'm asking is, is that the best way to save an assembly
and all part files, or is there a better and/or faster, easier way?

    TIA,
    Muggs

  2. I like to open the top item, whether it be a drawing or an assy, and do a
Find References and then Copy Files. Then look through the list so you know
what you have - you might find some that are referenced, but suppressed that
you really don't want to send.

We have developped a free SW add-in that creates a ZIP file containing the
    assembly and all files related.
It also "unfrags" all files before zipping them (original files are not
    modified)

To get it just follow the link
    http://www.atemi.fr -> Telechargement -> Divers -> UnfragAndZip

Html pages are in French but English explanations are included in the zip
    file
