Running Osnap reacts differently when zoomed out?

I created a couple of Lisp routines to give me TOW and BOW elevation labels in Profiles. When I'm zoomed in they work fine with either a running Osnap "Midpoint" or using "Midpoint" each time but when I Zoom out and try to use the running osnap "Midpoint" the text come in the middle of the line and not above it as written in the code. If I take the running Osnap off and just pick midpoint each time the text is in the correct position. I would appreciate any suggestions, Thank you

You can have your program turn running osnaps off when it starts and back
    on when it is done.

Thanks for the idea James. I got the current OSMODE value. Then made OSMODE 0 right before the text was inserted, then reset back OSMODE...whatever after the text command.
    Works great. Thanks
