Can someone advise on what needs to be done to run Microstation without
giving the user administrator priveledges. Our uesrs claim they need
to have admin rights to make full use of the software and save
settings. But with admin rights, they then install other software from
the web and get spyware, viruses, etc., and cause lots of downtime.
I'm told it's possible but no details.

    Thanks,

    Greg

Your users are lying to you . I have 20 users running Microstation on
PCs which have very limited user rights (thanks to an extremely
paranoid IT department!) and they all fully utilise the software fine.
The only restriction our users have is that if they wish to update
Microstation or any of its components they will need an administrator
    to load software.

I agree. Don't give users admin rights to the users. You can take
care of updates and upgrades by keeping them on a network drive or
server that only your admin people can write to. Then, all you do is
put a bat file in the start up of each computer to copy all your
software changes from the network drive to the pc. This will keep all
of your machines up to date and your employees in compliance with
    company standards.
