Rotate Hypotunus

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by John Callaway, Sep 21, 2006.

  1. In R14 how do I rotate the known length of the hypotenuse of a
triangle to connect to a construction line offset the exact known
distance from the other end of the hypotenuse? I can get it close but
when I zoom in it is not connected to the construction line and
therefore will not give me the exact angle I want. I use the rotate
command, but it only allows me to select the end from which to rotate
from with no further capabilities to direct the other end of the line
other than manual selection. Is there a lisp routine that would allow
    me this feature in R14?

  2. Draw a circle with a radius of the length of the hypotenuse, centered at the
'fixed' end of the hypotenuse, and find the intersection between the circle
    and the construction line.
