We use a lot of copies of AutoCAD LT and REVDATE has become a standard
practice to track revisions. We are thinking of getting a couple of full
licenses installed on the network for those occasions when we need more
power. REVDATE is not built into the full license. Where can I find a
program that will implement it on the full version?

Plot stamp is very different and not suitable. It tells you only when you
plotted the drawing and not the last time you saved it. This means that the
same drawing would have a different stamp if plotted on two different dates.
Also, it shows up only on the plot. We often access the drawings online and
never plot them. RevDate is part of the drawing and always shows up.

RevDate is part of our standard procedures and works very well. Besides the
save icon in the tool bar, everyone has an identical looking tool beside it
with an "R" in it. That way when you save it runs RevDate first before
saving. We have multiple people working on the same drawing as the project
progresses and the system has worked excellently for us.

I am looking for that 3rd party add-on that brings RevDate into the full
version. I know the full version of AutoCAD does not have it and am amazed
AutoDesk does not supply it somewhere. I would even be willing to pay for
    it.

I use AutoCAD2002. I am unaware of this RevDate tool you speak of. This sounds useful - is it like inputting information into the drawing properties tab? Does it provide the same information as saving multiple copies with different dates in the file name?

We currently save multiple copies with different dates in the name. If this rev date thing did something add'l to that I would be very interested to hear about it and why you use it. Thanks!

Nope. Remember that was the version that was supposed to have a subset of
LISP and got yanked at the last minute. [g] LT v1 was like a bad r12.
Anyway, REVDATE came about in LT95 (aka v3).
