    And sometimes you need the disk manufacturers low level format utility
    to zero all bits.

  2. You more than likely have a virus on the boot sector of your hard drive,
    from before you formatted. Formatting alone, will not reach the boot
    sector. You must use the DOS command FDISK to remove everything from your
    hard drive, including the boot sector. Go to Google and type in FDISK, and
    the entire technique of using this command will be explained to you. Good
    luck...
