Remake block with selected nested objects

    Is there a routine that will enable me to remake a block by selecting nested objects contained within that block (ie blocks, lines, etc).
    We have a large number of drawings with bound clipped xrefs and we want to make the clipped area from the reference live within the drawing without having to explode everything & manually delete all other data.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
