What's your favorite AutoCAD book and why? I need one and found a couple
old ones at the library that look pretty good, but haven't been updated for
2004 or 2005 ... (AUTOCAD DRAFTING, Grout, Resetarits and James) (THE
    AUTOCAD REFERENCE GUIDE, Dorothy Kent).

I'm taking a class and don't like the AutoDesk book. "Help" is good, but I
want a book too. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

But you need to bear in mind the older the book the more out of date the
menu layout, contents and methodology have changed due to new tools being
    added

The Illustrated AutoCAD 2004/5 Quick Reference (one for sale on eBay as of
    17/02/2005)
AutoCAD 2004 A Problem Solving Approach
    AutoCAD 2004 3D Modelling A Visual Approach
    Harnessing AutoCAD 2004

Just 4 of the high quality books available

And there's the old favourite The AutoCAD 2004 Bible

Well if it the C&G 3D your doing its the booklet, from Doncaster College,
its as about as clear as mud on some things and goes the long way round on
others. The guys that wrote it really need to get in touch with industry as
to the QUICKEST and best ways to do the task in these booklets.

I am taking a CAD class at the local Community College. The first thing the
instructor said was "dont buy the book, you won't need it". Weird, huh?
I have found numerous tutorials online, and am glad I saved the cost of the
    textbook.

    and any associated commands
