Blows my mind that this "feature" has been around so long and nobody from
SWx has made it unstable by trying to add improvements to its functionality
    ;-P
Thanks again for the quest...it was well worth while (although my boss might
    not think so).

  2. Yeah it is scary that they do not have in place a way to recognize the
    child/parent fubar!?
For instance, the Tools/Check option should have a way to recognize this
CRC... but it doesn't,.. heck it doesn't even have a check for sketch
issues - the foundation from which the data is created!?!?!?!?!

You would think SW Corp would see this as a priority?
Well, we get what we pay for?

  3. I totally agree there should be a check and warning or an icon or symbol
(or something... anything) inserted somewhere, anywhere to show this.

  4. Mike and Paul,

I would love to have the system tell me I've got a circular reference, but
since I'm nearly positive that we have at least one circular reference in
the part that got this thread started, and since we haven't been able to
find it yet, I'm thinking that this may be asking too much of the software.

  5. Yeah, a little icon (like the new separate SW2005 warning icon) or
similar but specific to CRC errors?
Also, a listing of CRC's via the Tools/Check?

Nah, never mind, that would make way too much sense!?!?

Otherwise, it is a interesting undocumented feature in the case of your
clock or using it for advancing a parent/child feature.
