Hello, I was hoping that someone may know of a solution to this
    problem (bare with me)

    · The company I work for has a Xerox 8825 scanner that saves files
    to TIF with compression CCITT4.
    · In MicroStation, when I open the Raster Manager I can attach the
    scanned file.
    · If I use any other program to edit the TIF file and supposedly
save it with the same compression CCITT4,
MicroStation can no longer attach the file. I get the message
    "Raster cannot be read:"

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

Check in the save options that is definitely g4, not g3.
Check the compression is ccit and not LZW etc.
Check that it does not use tiled or striped options i.e. it should be
    contiguous / monolithic.
