raster items not plotting correctly

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by marybethoberlin, Feb 7, 2005.

  1. We are in the process of upgrading to Autocad 2005. We would like to use the new textmask and dimension mask features, but they will not plot correctly. The mask prints as a shade behind the text. This also happens with the wipeout command. We are using a xerox 8825, with the xes7.hdi driver. I have been trying to find a solution, and have only been able to find out that hdi drivers do not work well with raster items, including the masks. But I have not been able to figure out how to fix it. I could not find any help on the xerox website. Is there a different type of driver available somewhere? Or are we out of luck?

    Thanks,
    Mary Beth

Try using the hp650c driver on your AutoCAD cd. Using this was the only way
we could make raster images plot out correctly.

  3. An HP driver? For our Xerox plotter? Did you use this driver with a Xerox machine?

Yes, yes, and yes. It worked on our 8830 and the sad part is we still have
to use the 650c driver on our 510dp.
