question.... will windows XP media center edition with sp2 run SW2007?

    SW spec says windows professional XP is required.

    any advice appreciated

    thanks guys... much appreciated. My guess is that the xp pro has
    translations to many different languages that support the feature in
    SW..but otherwise it seems media center works.

    actually it will install and run fine for 30 days, as far as i have
    seen. but you cannot activate it as this is part of the Professional
    XP. i ran the gambit on this with my VAR and the result is that you
    have to have XP pro. iQ

    I ran 2005,06,07 & 08 on an XP Media center system with no problems and
    ran past 30 days. Not sure which VAR told you it would run out after 30
    days. Perhaps if you were to demo SW then the demo runs out after 30
    days but if you have the serial number/activation information then SW
    will run fine on XP Media Center
