Question about CDL netlist

Discussion in 'Cadence' started by Reotaro Hashemoto, Aug 5, 2008.

  1. Hi all,

In CDL netlist for resistor or capacitor, I have a netlist like that:

    R3ON PLUS MINU 0.001 $[r3on]

    What does the "$[r3on]" mean?

    Thanks,
    Ahmad

    Model name = r3on

The Assura docs have a pretty good CDL spec, I think in
    "Assura Command Reference", assuracommandref.pdf.

    Ahmad,

the cdl $[] has a special meaning but seems each LVS tool interpret it
    differently.
In Calibre, the r3on is rather the LVS subtype.

The $ sign is usually meant for commented lines in a CDL file, as in
the SPICE language. But There are some special cases where this $ sign
is interpreted differently. Please refer to LVS tool (Calibre, Assura,
    Dracula ...) y're using.

    Cheers,
    Riad.
