properties dialog box and microtrend

    i have a hot key set up for the props dialog (ctl, #1) prior to last
    week it would pop up immediatley. now our new IT guy has been
    "tweaking" the system and is it possible that some virus software
    running in the background and set to scan realtime all the time could
    bottle neck the call to the .xls that i assume swx is launching
    internally for the props dialog? it now takes almost a minute to come
    up, and gawd forbid u hit the wrong cell because theres another minute
    of your life you won't get back! the software in question is officescan
    from microtrend TIA
