    Hi,
Projectname and project paths work at the office,
now I copied some files to usb hardrive to work at home and
on home comp reset project paths to usb path

    in files options project:
    projectname is correct
    project paths are correct

in dwg, projectname variable is correct

xrefs are still not loading - saying cant be found.
is there a hidden trick I don't know about?

I can browse manually to reload but there are many seems like this should be
    working.

    any ideas?
    thanks
    Mark

  2. Nothing weird about it. Works fine

After reseting the path and projectname var did you check those values
    inside acad ?

Si, but some of the paths may have taken on a hard coded path, como
preguntas en el otro threado, :)
    -
(even though I try to uncheck that stupid retain path check box that is
checked by default and that no one seems to know how to uncheck
programatically - at least as far as all the times I've searched google for
that in the past - unless something recent has come to light.)

Pero la cosa es que, I thought if you had a project path, that would take
over as soon as acad failed to find the hardcode.

If I have xrefs with a hard code and put them all in the same dir, acad will
find them despite the hard coded value. Yo pensaba que projectname ofrece
la misma facilidad- it sounds like you're saying I'm mistaken about that?
Voy a tratar de cambiar los pathos? para objectodbxo :)
Y entonces ve si el proyecto sirve bien.
    Gracias para el contesto.
    Salud
    Mark

    AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
    :-|
    Yo estoy maximo Stupido!!!!
    the paths are Case Sensitive!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    who'd a thunk it?
This has been driving me crazy all day.

actually they weren't hardcoded but i thought the project would overcome
that and become a search path after the hardcoded value wasn't found if they
    had been hardcoded.?????

  5. Yes, I'd also like to know how to unchecked the retain path check box.
It seems to me that the default check value is hardcoded and that the
user chosen value is kept only for the lifetime of the current app, that is,
    in memory.
