ProE export. Configurations?

My sheetmetal fabricator uses ProE. I have a design with several
configurations. How will they translate when I save as ProE? Or, do
I have to save it one time for each configuration?

You have to do a Save As for each configuration. And if you want them
to have a flatpattern, you have to do that separately as well.

    That's what I suspected.

On the flatpattern part...I guess then you have to save each part
separately? This would be a nice feature for SW to add, save an
assembly containing sheetmetal parts to ProE as flatpattern files.

I just noticed that you are trying to save as ProE files, not as a
neutral format (i.e. IGES). In that case I'm not sure if SW will save
a separate file for each config or not. However, saving to ProE files
is probably not a good idea for your purposes. It sometimes comes in
handy if you have very simple parts that need to be edited in ProE,
but usually it's best to save as a neutral formal like STEP or IGES.
Geometry comes through better, and your fabricator doesn't need to
edit anything, so native ProE files aren't a necessity.
