I am trying to go from autocad 14 to 2000.. and im having a bit of a problem
ploting.. in 14 we used hpconfig to set up our ploter hp1050c but none of
these settings can be migrated to 2000.. ive been playing with it for a
while and i seem to have gotten all the line weights corrected but the
problem im having is this.. when i plot a file in 14 and lets say it has a
multiline with a fill. if this multiline passes over any other lines the
line shows up behind it now in 2000 if i plot out that same drawing anything
that has a multiline with a fill in it blocks out any lines that are
crossing over it or running directly under it.

Sounds like you need to set the merge control for the plotter. We're using 2002 now, but, I think the option for changing it is still in the same location. Start the Plot command to bring up the plot dialog box and the select the Plot Device tab, highlight the 1050c and select the Properties button. Under the "Device and Document Settings" tabs there's a selection for Graphics. Hit the plus sign to expand the selection and look at "Merge Control", it may be set to "Lines Overwrite", just change it to "Lines Merge". Hope this helps.
