We are using Acad 2000 on Windows 2000. We have just replaced our trusty HP
Designjet 750c with a new HP Designjet 1050c Plus. A Network Plotter has
been set on the Server with the driver we received on the installation disk.
I have then opened my Control Panel & added the network plotter browsed
from the server. Then I opened up Autocad Plotter Manager and started the
Add-A-Plotter Wizard then selected Network Plotter Server. Next I browsed
the plotter on the server again. Then I had an option to select a Plotter
Model. This where I have come unstuck, our plotter is not listed here.. I
then selected - Have Disk ...- the wizard now requires Heidi Information
Files (*.hif). These are not any where on the discs supplied or anywhere on
HP or Autocad sites as far I can see. Can anyone point me in the right
    direction?

    Thanks

I have done this already...I know I should have option to pick
the new plotter from the list. Could there be a problem of how
it was installed on the server? Our IT manager installed it.
Is there some settings he needs to change for me to get the
hif files from the installation on the server?

Even though it is a "networked" printer select the "System Printer" option
and use the windows system driver. This option doen't make sense but it
works! Note, for this to work the plotter needs to be installed as a
    windows system printer first.
