    Hello,

I have serious problems with using the Affirma Analog Corners Analysis Tool.

When I don't want to run all corners (I uncheck the checkboxes that I don't
want to simulate), the simulator try to make simulation also for the
unchecked ones and then get stucked. This doesn't happen everytime but very
    very often.
It seems that the tool get confused when you use the check boxes.

Does anybody had the same experience and maybe some hints to resolve the
    problem?
With this bug it is not possible to use this tool

    Thanks for any suggestion

  2. Hi,

My suggestion is not to use corner analysis tool. I personally don't like
it. It causes me too many headaches.

Instead you can change the models you're using.

You can select which models to use by Analog Artist menu Setup => Model
    Libraries
Depending on what design kit you're using, you can either change the section
of the model file you use (by default it should be nominal) or you may have
to change the model library file.

This is actually pretty much what corner analysis is doing, the only
difference is that this approach always works, but you have to run the
corner simulations one by one, which might be a bit irritating.

  3. Hristo,

In IC446, I'd agree (to some extent) with your assessment of the corners tool.
However, in IC50 there was a fairly major revamp of the UI and it's now much
better. Also, with some spectre fixes around the IC5032 timeframe, some of
the oddities have also been ironed out.

So it works pretty well these days, I'd say.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

  4. Hi Andrew,

Sorry, I should have stated that I'm referring to IC446. Recently I had
huge problems making corner analysis working for IC446, so I'm a bit biased
    ;)

    Hi,

Unfortunally, I have to work with IC446.
Do somebody know how to setup the corners in an OCEANscript, so you can
    automate it manually
