    Hi,

    I'm still trying to deploy AutoCad LT 2004 through group policy. I
    managed te create an installation share. I configured the group policy
    object and the client computer starts installing on reboot. However, I
    allways get the following error:

    Setup is unable to validate your serial number. Please initiate a
    REINSTALL via the command line, using the following syntax.
    (the following should appear on one command line.)

    msiexec /i <full path to original MSI installation database>
    REINSTALL=ALL ACADSERIALPREFIX=nnn ACADSERIALNUMBER=nnnnnnnn
    ACADFIRSTNAME=<firstname> ACADLASTNAME=<lastname>
    ACADORGANIZATION=<companyname> ACADDEALER=<dealername>
    ACADDEALERPHONE=<dealerphone>

    now i have 2 theories on this:
    1) Could it be that ACad installer attempts to acces the internet for
    validation? In that case is it possible to work around this 'cause our
    firewall requires a log-in
    2) Do I need a special Volume License number or something like with
    Office?

    thanks
