Another argument against mistakes in the settings:
First computer only gets 1/3 of the drawing, second (with less RAM) gets
about 3/4. Sadly I can't test some more...

Did you try plotting a window of the area that does NOT plot?? If so,
what were the results? If the thing plotted correctly, I'd plot
progressivly bigger windows until it failed. If it failed doing that,
then it's a plotter memory problem, NOT the computer. Try plotting to a
file, then sending that file to the printer.

Woops! My last post went out blank. Too many clicks too quickly.
This may not be related to you problem but I have experienced partially
    blank pdf conversions.
Adrobe Acrobat Pro 6 often failed to print portions of my drawings, and
always failed to print the entire sheet when the layout had a clipped
viewport. Upgrading to Acrobat Pro 7 eliminated the problem.

I'm afraid my english is bad. Could you explain 'clipped viewport'?
    Thanks

Command _vpclip allows you to change the shape of an existing viewport into
    an irregular shaped polygonal one.

You got it... That was my problem, but I think it's an AutoCAD Problem,
because other pdf-creators produce the same mistake, and it's still a
question of memory, because on the pc with less RAM and much more free
space on C:\ it works, on the other not.

It may have been as AutoCAD issue but I first experienced the problem using
ADT2005. It continued with ADT2006. After upgrading my Adobe the problem no
longer occured with '06. So out of curiosity, I opend a drawing with '05 and
was able to produce a pdf showing the entire layout.
As far as fee hard disk space, that would not have be an issure with my
computer as I have over 83 GB available. Could it be related to swap file
    size?

There is a known problem with creating PDF's that have irregular
viewports. If the viewports aren't rectangular, you need to make them
that way, or Adobe does just what you described.
