problem w/ shapes

    I have just received a dwg from an architect. When it is opening, I get the
    error message that it is looking for a shape file called romans.shx. It
    tells me that it can't use that file because it is an autocad font file.
    Usually, I'll just create a bogus shape file using another as a basis, and
    just rename it to the style I need. This new error presents a new problem,
    because I can't rename a shape file to be romans.shx, because I need that
    file for my text font.

    Hope I am not rambling, and I would welcome any advice on how to get rid of
    these errors.

    Can you go back to the sender and ask him/her for the shape file and rename it?
